Rednesday and a life lesson...

My bedroom wall with the thrifted wall paper that I love and the Rosary made in Mexico that My Mother gave to me.

My handy dandy red hammer.

My Bambino in his red Pjs.

While I was taking pictures for the previous rednesday post, My Bambino asked me to take a picture of Him and this cute dog from my magazine. Times really DOES go fast. I was feeling a little bit down and I wasn't in the mood to post, but You know, life is really good, GOD is really good. So I want to share with all of You this life lesson I experienced.

My oldest daughter has been asking me about life and the existence of God, I understood God was calling her, so I enrolled her and my youngest daughter in religious class for the First Eucharist. When we took them to class after mass, the Lady in charge offered us to enrolled My Bambino at the kindergarten level, my first response was to say He wouldn't stay, the Lady was very gracious and told us that My Bambino could say hi to the kids and if He didn't want to stay was fine, obviously this Lady is very wise. So, we took him to the classroom and to my surprise My Bambino stayed the whole 45 minutes with the other kids, without his Mama.

I guess I got out of the classroom looking very sad because My Boricua told me: "You look more scared than He really is", and it was true. My heart was half broken, my baby is growing up.

Happy Rednesday...!!!

awwwwww... It's so hard... I know. Even that very first separation just starts the cutting of the strings. I remember. Every little bit of independence and time away from mama is just preparing them for one day, and of course preparing you for when the last string is cut and they fly. Enjoy all these days that will fly by. Truly...you will blink, and they will be leaving. But it's all good. That's what you are preparing them for. I just remember how much I was ready to become independent and it helps me to understand how they are feeling. Love your red posts, and the cute little pajamas.
Thanks for visiting, and for prayers. Justin leaves the first week of March...(NEXT WEEK!!) yikes....

Cute reds!

Love the little red hammer, and your son looks so sweet. Was he hiding from the camera?

Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment.

How precious your little boy wanted you to take his picture with the cute doggy in the magazine. What a doll! How wonderful you hear the hunger in your girls' hearts to learn about the Lord. I wish all parents would do this for their children.
Happy REDnesday - your wallpaper is so pretty and your special rosary.

Oh, they certainly do grow up way too fast! My baby is 21! You are doing the right thing though, by letting your children spread their wings. Your little boy looks so sweet in that picture!
I like your red hammer. I've been thinking about getting a pink one for myself!
Happy REDnesday!

Thanks Girls!! My Bambino LOVES the camera, but that day He was acting silly.

Mary, my daughter was asking very "deep" questions, so I knew She was ready, and so far the 3 liked the classes.

Carol I can image a gorgeous pink hammer for all those "little" jobs around the house.

Thanks for visiting y'all...!!!

Oh, yes, it is hard to let them be independent - at any age! My teen with Asperger's is showing some independence and, even though I like it, I'm not used to it at the same time - mixed feelings!

Oh Sue, You are so right, I don't like those feelings of pride and sadness, but, there is nothing we can ( or should ) do to stop them, it's part of life. :(
