Well, the dateline is here, tomorrow at 8:00 am, we'll be at the VA hospital, My Boricua has a C&P examen for his fibromyalgia, a Gulf War Presumtive Illness by decret of the Director of Veterans Affairs, I shouldn't be worried since My Boricua was in combat for 6 months during the Gulf War, but.... the DVA can pull a fast one when you least expect it.
There is so much in jeopardy, not only monetary, but educational and medical benefits for our kids too. It has been a long, long battle. I am tired, mentally, phisically and at some point spiritually, but here I am with Faith, with Hope, with a thankful heart for the many praying for an excellent outcome. My special thanks to Julie.
Here are my REDS fill with memories.....
One of my birthdays in Mexico, oh those memories help me so much!!! That RED couch lasted for ever...
Dating My Boricua, He did ( and still DOES ) make happy. Here we were dating for just ONE WEEK.... See the RED pot? and my RED lips? can you feel the love in the air?
In our wedding at the Court House, with this kiss, I became Mrs. Santiago. Loved that RED suit. A present from My Boricua...
Our Church Wedding.... Do you know The US marine Corps has decorated their dress uniform pants with RED lines along the side that signifies the loss of American marines during the battle of Chapultepec in Mexico? Los NiƱos Heroes de Chapultepec was the name of my elementary school in Mexico.
And finally.... WOW!!! this sunset 2 day ago was amazing, it was heavenly.

My parents, Christmas Eve 1999.... My dear Daddy last Chirstmas, He passed away on dec. 26th. 1999. I was away in NC when this happened, I was following My Marine, He received orders from California to North Carolina and I missed the last 2 years of His life, but I don't regreted anymore, I spent my first 23 years with Him and He did make sure we had a happy life.
And finally.... WOW!!! this sunset 2 day ago was amazing, it was heavenly.

What a beautiful post...I love the one on the red couch...perfect how you changed your blog color too.
Thanks Debbie!!!
Good luck with the VA, I have heard how much red tape those claims involve. I, too, am married to a Marine....a Marine who serve in Korea and was at the Chosin Reservoir in 1950. Hope your husband receives the best treatment possible, mine is healthy.....he does have some skin damage from the cold, but not serious. Thanks for visiting my blog, come again.
Wishing you much good luck tomorrow!
Wonderful family photos!
Happy Rednesday,
Sally
Oh Jan, there IS so much red tape. It is a shame, because our marines and all our veterans give 100% to their service and when they need the help to get their health back they found a big wall of no's....
Thanks for your wishes. I'll be back soon to your place..
Sally, thanks for your good luck wishes.!!
Good luck to you. What a beautiful sunset.
Cotty,
I will be in prayer when I wake up. I await with hope that God will not only give your hubby the health care he needs and the go-ahead for all the confirmation for your family health needs, BUT that tomorrow will go smoothly with no hitches.. that it will not be unpleasant, and that you will leave very satisfied and praising God for major steps forward...Oh I will be praying this for you. I know God can do this and bless you for all of your hard work as a supportive helpmeet and partner to your husband, and a devoted mama...
Faith is believing in what we cannot see happening, and knowing that with God ALL things are possible in His love for us.
Hugs to you Cotty, PRAYING!!!!

Rosie, thanks for visiting!! and YES! it was a beautiful sunset.
Julie, thank you so much. I can't expres enough how your kind words are a 'sweet balm' in these moments. Thanks for your prayers, we are in prayer too. When my family and friends ask how can they help, I only ask for their prayers, because I have seen the power of prayer. We pray for peace at heart at all moments and we are giving thanks for the received blessings and the ones to come.
Craftyles, thanks!! and yes! my Familia is so wonderful, that's why I miss them so much.

Thanks for the stroll. I'm not sure if I told you this, but my Dad is a Marine. A Hollywood Marine as they called them in the late 50's early 60's. He joined in 57 at the age of 17(graduated early from HS) and was in til 62. I was born in Santa Ana in 1960, but we left in 61 or 2 to come back home to Ohio. The VA has always been....the VA.....everything will be ok..it'll all work out..with all the prayers comin your way God's gotta hear it all and he'll answer outa sheer headache from all the voices!!
Take Care....Siemper Fi
Nannykim, thank you, thank you for that precious prayer.
Oh Melody, lol thanks!!! and thanks for sharing those memories. My Boricua loved and still does, being a Marine, that's why it hurts so much to be treated like the VA and the DAV treat our Veterans.
Thanks everybody for those precious prayers... I will let you all know tomorrow as soon as we get back from the hospital.
You both look so beautiful in your wedding picture. And thanks for coming by my blog. I have a wonderful Mexican girl who has lived with me since Sept while going to high school here. She is leaving to go back home (Yucatan) on the 26th. (Sob, sob!) I've had lots of fun trying out Mexican food -- so yummy!
Love your red photos!! Lots of memories for you so red must be lucky for you guys!
