Upss I did it again......

At my office, a corner in the hallway which I covered in what else, RED wallpaper....

Well, my finger is almost completely heal... oh yeah!! I'll be getting my acrylic nails soon, but.... yes, I did it again!!! this time is my big toe nail, the left side AGAIN!!!!..... Yesterday while I was helping my Girls organizing their rooms my toe started to hurt a little, I didn't pay attention, I kept reading one of their teens magazines, gossiping with them and forgot about it.

Later at night, while I was preparing this post I got this 'feeling' something wasn't right, I looked down and saw my toe nail loose.... oh no!!! when, how, who???? then I remembered. About a month ago I tripped with my left foot, hitting my big toe. It did hurt like *bleep*, but I checked it out and my toe was o.k. so, I forgot, until last night.

To make a long story short, my toe is o.k., a new nail was under the old one. But, I think I have been in one of those 'stages' where our distractions can harm us and my body is telling me "hey, watch out, take care, look at me, rest".... After all, we have been under a lot of pressure, with My Boricua's illnesses and the battle with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

This is why, in part, I posted so late, today I rested and enjoyed my Familia, we dinned out in a wonderful mexican restaurant, the food was good and I treated myself to a delicious cold strawberry margarita, perfect to relax and cool down on a hot-humid day.... ahhh, yes, life is good....

LOL Cotty you are funny...I just bet that Margarita took the edge off of everything last evening... :-)
Yes...we tend to get busy, and frazzled, and who always suffers even when we don't pay attention? Da mama! Everybody else comes first, and before you know it, you feel run down, and pain somewhere that you have been pushing to the back burner and ignoring...
Take care... remember "attention to detail!" Marine Gal...that means to yourself! I know..I need to preach to myself...but we can remind each other! hope your toe is better very soon. The new nail is a good sign. Hugs to you Cotty!

Love your blog, you're so alive and honest. Refreshing! Best of luck with the VA. My brothers and I worked real hard to get our uncle a medal that we felt the country owed him. He was a WWII veteran and a POW. Well, never got it and our uncle passed away. But we're still very proud of him and all service men and women. So I salute your husband and you.

You look so cute in that photo. Glad you're taking the time to rest. We moms are so bad about taking care of ourselves until our bodies begin screaming for rest. Or in your case, your nail hangs loose.

Hey, it's officially Friday now so I think another margarita may be in order. Have a wonderful weekend.

Teresa, thanks!!! and yes, I know the battle with the VA is a long, long, looong one. I'm so sorry about your dear uncle, it's unfair. But you know, I have learned to keep pressing on, there are times when I am ready to give up, but then, I see my Children's faces and My Boricua in pain, and I know I can't give up, someday, somebody will listen. Best of luck.

Minnie, thank you...!!!! ;-) You are so right about us moms, we put everyone first until our bodies say 'hey, that's enough', it shouldn't be like it, but is in our nature.

And YES!!! the weekend is here, maybe this time I'll try the spicy lemon margarita, ;-).... have a great weekend too.

hmmmmm...that drink sure looks GOOOOOD!! My family and I love mexican food. I cook it quite often here actually. Hubby was raised on it as a child! Taught me some wonderful mexican dishes...he had to teach me how to make spaghetti sauce too (and I'm the Italian in the family, lol)
