Another painful Rednesday...

Well, I had in mind another set of pictures for today, since it is My Beloved Maternal Grandmother 24th. Death Aniversary, but yesterday while I was chopping the radicchio for a delicious salad somehow I 'missed' and chopped the tip of my left index finger.

I endep up in the emergency room, got a Tetanus shot (the 'new shot' for adults, the same kids get) and I came back home with this huge new finger, my kids call it "the number one finger", they think they are very funny.... Mmmmmmm...
Notice the RED sweater I was wearing.....

Ouch...!!!! Thank God is healing, as My Boricua said this morning, "beautifuly"....

Yikes, Mom...!!!! that's what My Kids were saying....

So, here I am, with a painful finger and an aching heart....

That's quite the cut! Hope you feel better soon as well as your heartache, that usually takes longer. This was the most intense Rednesday ever LOL I'm a new follower just because I want to make sure your finger heals well!

Oh geez, you really did take a chunk out of your finger! It's a wonder you didn't need stitches, but that's a really funny picture of your kids looking at your finger!
Take care, and Happy REDnesday!

Carol, the doctor told me I was fortunate I didn't cut 'a little bit more', I didn't need stiches because I didn't know where was the little chunk I cut :O ... She told me that tip sort of 'will grow back', I hope so, I wanna be able to wear gel nails, ;)

I'm glad you can find the humor in it. (Anyone who watches Hyacinth can't be all that serious!)

I had a similar accident about 3 weeks ago with my garden knife - didn't even think about tetanus. Thank God I'm okay! (Well, not mentally - lol!)

LOL, Sue, it was bleeding like an open faucet, that's why we went to the ER... and well, they 'sugest' the DTaP shot because 'there is a lot pertussis cases going on'... Let's see if I still see the humor in it when I get the bill!!! ;) and well I am not that mentally well either and my kids and My Boricua love it!!!!

I will say ..ACCCCKKKKK! Blood and missing parts of a finger...TOO MUCH ...this was a horror post ..I am SOO sorry you had to go through that. I am SOO glad that it was not any more serious. Our fingers are so sensitive, even a paper cut can hurt badly.
I hope, and you know I will pray that it heals quickly. Stay away from salt or lemon with that finger. ouch! BE CAREFUL GIRL!
As they say, when something happens to mom... well, what choice do we have.??? Remain Calm and Carry On... You are a warrior wife. I know you handled it well. Marine Dawg brave and never lose your bearing.... lol... Hope you heal quickly . hugs and love... Tryng to catch up today with all my bloggy sisters! :-)

Oh Julie, that was a very scary moment, you know, the first think that came to my mind was : "darn it, I won't be able to have fake nails", LOL.... thankfully My Marine Boricua remained calm and applied a 'marine-style-thingy', so by the time I was checked in the ER, (after we stopped at ALL the red lights we caught and a road work that last FOREVER) the bleeding had ceased. God is good!!! and as soon as my lost tip grows back I'll be getting my nails done!!! ;)
